Civil
Roads, bridges, earthworks, utilities, and municipal infrastructure. Placing the project leadership behind public and private civil portfolios.
Domaine Executive Search connects high-performing professionals with leading contractors and developers across Canada, from project leadership to executive appointments in Civil, ICI, Residential, and M&E construction.
Most recruitment firms measure themselves by volume. We measure ourselves by fit.
After nearly a decade in this industry, the moments that matter are not the placements. They are the calls that come years later. The candidate writing to share a promotion. The hiring leader who keeps coming back, search after search, because every hire has worked out.
Domaine Executive Search is a boutique executive search firm specialising in Civil, ICI, Residential, and M&E construction across Ontario and British Columbia. Searches range from estimators and superintendents through to vice presidents and construction executives, every one led personally by our founder.
The strongest construction professionals are rarely on the market, which is precisely why we call them. We earn the conversation, and then we earn the resume. It takes longer than posting a role and waiting for applicants. It also produces a different kind of hire: the kind who is still in the role years later, and who answers when we call again.
This level of attention cannot be sustained at scale, and Domaine was designed with that in mind. Our client list is small by design, and we decline searches when they are not the right fit for either side. These are not marketing promises. They are the principles the firm operates by.
Over eight years of construction-only search since 2018. We speak the language of the field, the trailer, and the boardroom.
The strongest candidates are not on the market, which is precisely why we call them. Off-market sourcing is the default, not the exception.
Fewer clients, longer relationships. We take on only the searches we can give the depth they deserve.
Every search runs through the founder personally. No handoffs, no juniors, no exceptions.

Submit Your ResumeThe best hires in construction rarely apply. They get called.
The person on the other end is not looking. They have a good role at a good company. They have not thought about leaving in years. They almost did not pick up.
Earning that conversation is the hardest part of this work. It is also why it has held me for over eight years.
The path did not begin in recruitment. It began behind a counter, first in retail, then in banking, alongside a diploma and a Bachelor of Business Administration. Each step taught the same craft: how to read a room, and how to earn trust quickly. By the time recruitment arrived in 2017, the conversations were already familiar.
Then, in early 2018, came construction. There has never been another industry since. The people placed through this work go on to build the towers, the bridges, the hospitals, the highways that hold a city together.
Recruitment in construction, done well, is not really about resumes. It is about people: the professional weighing a move, the hiring leader who cannot afford another mistake, the candidate whose next call will shape a career. The weight of that took some getting used to.
What surprises me most is how long the conversations last. Years after a placement, the phone still rings. Sometimes a candidate I placed years ago is calling to share a promotion, or to introduce a colleague who could use a careful conversation of their own. Sometimes it is the colleague themselves, calling because someone they trust gave them my name. Those calls are why this work has stayed the work.
Domaine Executive Search is the firm I always wished existed when I started. So I built it.
It is boutique by design. The client list stays small, and every search is principal-led from the first conversation to the first day on site. That is what makes the relationships last.
Whether you are hiring, considering a move, or just curious about your options, I would love to hear from you. No pressure, no obligation. Every conversation stays between us.
